Abbey Barton

Abbey C. Barton joined the firm in 2025, and focuses her practice on mass torts, class actions, and products liability. Her previous experience includes the defense of clients in complex medical malpractice and premises liability matters. 

 

Abbey attended Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson, MS, and received her J.D. and a Certificate of Civil Law Studies in 2019. During her time at MC Law, she earned the Best Paper Award in Civil Law Matrimonial Regimes served in leadership roles for several campus organizations, including Editor-in-Chief of The Legal Eye, a student news publication, Elections Commissioner for the Student Bar Association, and President of the campus ACLU chapter.

 

Prior to law school, Abbey earned her B.A. in Political Science from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 2016. During her time at ULM, she worked as an academic tutor for student-athletes enrolled in Latin.

 

Abbey is admitted to practice before all Louisiana state courts, as well as the U.S. District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana. She is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, the New Orleans chapter of the Federal Bar Association, the Association for Women Attorneys, and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, International (New Orleans Alumni Chapter).
